It's a friend's birthday ...

Happy Halloween!  The card I'm posting today, is not even Halloween...oops.  This card is for my high school friends that have birthday's in November.  I don't usually make the same card twice, but since I'm a bit behind in my stamping, I cheated and did.

Stamps:  Friends Never Fade
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze
DSP:  Greenhouse Gala
Ink:  Baja Breeze, Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip
Accessories:  ribbon, brads, Prismacolor markers
All products are SU! unless otherwise noted.

I stamped the flower twice, colored one and then cut it out.  I used my chocolate chip marker and ran it around the cut out flower and then attached it to the friends panel.  I also stamped the word friends again in Daffodil Delight, cut it out and glued it to the panel.  Added three red brads for a little touch of color and this card was finished.

Thanks to everyone that stops by and a big thanks to those that leave comments.  I appreciate the kind words. If you ever have any questions about my cards or products, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Have a great day,
Pam~

PPA Challenge Time

I had a great crafting day yesterday with Monica and making a card for the PPA challenge.  I'm so happy to be back participating again.  I love doing different challenges and the Paper Pals is my favorite!  Be sure to check out PPA challenges every Thursday.  This week Margaret Moody gave us a great sketch to work with.

Below is my take on the sketch ...

Stamps:  Happiness Shared
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Regal Rose, Old Olive
DSP:  Regal Rose
Ink:Staz-on Black, Regal Rose, Rose Red, Old Olive, Always Artichoke
Accessories:  CB Swiss Dots embossing folder, Old Olive ribbon, Prismacolor Markers, circle punch, daubers, pop dots
All products are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

(This card is photographed on the pink background paper so that it would not blend in with my usual white background.)

Bethany is coming home for the weekend and I'm excited to get to see her since I missed her when she was home for fall break.  I wanted to share a picture of Bethany, my hubby, Banjee and Sadie.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Enjoy your weekend and the fall weather!

Something new ... a recipe challenge

One of my fellow Pals, Ann at The Stampin' Schach, is on the design team at The Paper Players.  Ann came up with a great recipe challenge.  Her three ingredients are  ...
  1. One designer series paper
  2. Something which has been punched
  3. A sentiment
Here is what my recipe card looks like ...

Stamps:  With All My Heart, Three Little Words
Paper:  Melon Mambo, Certainly Celery, Tempting Turquoise
DSP:  Melon Mambo
Ink:  Tempting Turquoise, Certainly Celery
Accessories:  corner punch, itty bitty punch, word window punch, label punch, fancy flower punch, glimmer brads, rhinestones

I could not get the punched circles in a pattern that I liked.  So, I decided to just drop them on the card and glue them in the dropped spot.  I sponged the edges of the flowers and sentiment to soften them a bit.

I wanted a bright and cheery card to send to Bethany.  She is having a rough week at college and I wanted to send her an extra dose of love this week.

This was my first time to participate with The Paper Players.  I will definitely be checking them out again!  It feels fabulous to be back to stamping and blogging again.  I missed it all!

Have a great day,

Pam~

I'm away and missing it ...

I had to leave unexpectedly this past Tuesday for New Hampshire.  My uncle had emergency bypass surgery and needed someone to help him out, so here I am.  I had just gotten back from Gatlinburg, TN this past Friday, had soccer all weekend and then I got the dreaded call.  I never got my stamping stuff unpacked from Fall Break.  On Monday I was doing laundry and packing again when the present man came by in his brown truck.  I didn't even get to unpack and look at my new goodies ... frown.

I really miss my family, friends, and stamping, but I'm needed here.  Knowing that my uncle wanted me here to help is an honor.

I haven't really had time to blog hop, which I really miss but I'm hoping that one evening I'll be able to do that.  I know there are some great challenges out there, including the PPA fall picture inspiration.  I even bought a new stamp set for this project.  I hope you have fun playing and I'll click on over to see what everyone has created.

Hope to get back to my craft room around the 25th of October.  Until then ...

Have a great day,

Pam~

Blog Award

I received a wonderful e-mail earlier this week from my blogging friend Donna.  I've been following Donna's beautiful blog for a bit and I absolutely love her cards and photos.  Donna chose me for the "Cherry on Top" blog award.  Thank you Donna for sending this awesome award my way.  I am still on cloud nine!  Be sure to stop by Donna's blog, Donna's Designs, to see her stunning work.

The rules for receiving this award:

1. Thank the person that passed it to you.
2. Copy the award to your blog.
3. Share three things about yourself that you enjoy doing.
4. Pass the award to 5 others.

The three things I would like to share with you are:

1. I am passionate about stamping.
2. I like to play and watch sports.
3. I enjoy cross-stitching.

The beautiful blogs with that little extra that I would like to pass this award to are:
  1. Carla - Carla's Scraps
  2. Ann - The Stampin' Schach
  3. Kim - Stamp, Scrap and Get Kreative
  4. Trish - Encourage Joy
  5. Beth - Crafts by Beth
I had a hard time picking just five blogs to pass this on to.  There are so many wonderful and inspiring blogs out there that I follow and enjoy reading.  Thanks to all the bloggers who showcase their gorgeous creations for all to enjoy!  Keep on crafting!

I've just returned from our Fall Break vacation in Gatlinburg, TN.  I had a fabulous time but I'm so glad to be back home.  I'm also looking forward to catching up on everyone's blog and to hit my craft room.  We have soccer this weekend so hopefully Monday will lend some time to create.

Have a great day,

Pam~
