You ...

Today's card was inspired by a WPlus9 video I watched on YouTube.

I thought the effect of layering the same distress ink color had a unique look.  The stamp set, You, is from Simon Says and the ink color is Peacock Feathers.  I added a few sequins by Verve to finish off the card and to cover up an inky finger print.

Online Card Class Day 4

Here is the last of my homework for my Online Card Class. There are still more projects that are on my to do list. I wanted to do at least one card per class. This card was cased from Jennifer McGuire's class. I made a vellum card and dry embossed the front panel.

The happy was designed and cut out from Scan n Cut. I added some wink of stella to add some sparkle. The hearts were also cut from my Scan n Cut from a pattern that is included with the machine.

This was a fun class, Clear and Sheer, and would definitely participate in another one.

Clear tag for Card Class day 3

Over at Online Card Classes for day 3, we are working with acetate techniques. I decided to make the clear tag. Unfortunately I didn't have heavy weight acetate but it still worked.

Here is what I came up with ...

I used Lawn Fawn's Critters on the Farm and Chit Chat. This picture does not do this tag justice. It is actually two tags tied together so the card is two layers. The fence, bird and sentiment are on the first tag and the barn, pig, bird and green paper are on the second tag. I also added foam tape to the sentiment to add a bit more dimension. Turned out to be a cute little tag. This technique was all new to me. I used Copics to color the images.

Now I need to do my homework for day 4.

Card from Class 2

Turning in my homework from Class 2 and hope I don't lose credit for being so slow about completing my work. LOL  Today was Class 4 and I haven't even started on Class 3 yet.  The Online Card Classes are done professionally and I'm really enjoying them. If you ever need something to help get your mojo back, I highly recommend their classes.

Here is my card which showcases muting patterned paper with vellum ...

Stamps:  Sending Hoping Wishing (WPlus9)
Paper:  Island Indigo, Real Red (SU), Vellum
DSP:  My Minds Eye
Ink:  Island Indigo, Versamark

Back to blogging ...

After over a year of not blogging, I am going to try it again. I enrolled in a class, Online Card Classes, and wanted to upload my card to their site.  I debated back and forth if I wanted to do this venture again. Well, here it goes ...

Stamps:  You (Simon Says Stamps)
Paper:  black (SU), teal, watercolor (Canson), vellum
Ink:  Peacock Feathers, Crushed Olive, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed (Distress Inks), Black (Versafine), Versamark
Accessories:  clear embossing powder, sequins, leaf die (Spellbinders)

I watercolored the background and die cut the leaves three times. After attaching the watercolored piece to the teal paper, I clear embossed the leaves and then put them back into their correct cutout with foam tape. The sentiments are also clear embossed.

This card was inspired by Kristina Werner's card over at Online Card Classes.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
