DSP:  Well Worn
Ink:  Not Quite Navy, Cajun Craze (SU)

Off to enjoy my day with my hubby and son, who is home for spring break.  As always, thanks for stopping by and ...

Basket of roses ...

I've been in the coloring mood lately and wanted to practice my shading.  This basket and roses were the perfect images to play with.  I've got a long way to go but thought this card came out nice.

Stamps:  Holiday Basket (GKD)
Paper:  White, Navy
DP:  Moments (MME)
Ink:  Memento Black
Accessories:  Copics, ribbon, mini brads, dimensionals (SU), scallop and oval dies (Spellbinders)
  • The handles on the basket are movable.
  • The basket and roses were fussy cut.  I glued the flowers to the basket so that they would flow over the front and added a few extra leaves for more dimension.  The flower at the bottom was also cut out and attached with dimensionals.
Thanks for stopping by and as always...

Have a great day,
Pam~

Happiness ...

Another pink card .... hmm ... I think my daughter and her love for pink is rubbing off on me.  My inspiration for this card came from Tui's great sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches

Stamps:  Heartfelt (GKD), Fabulous Phrases (SU)
Paper:  White (Hammermill), Melon Mambo (SU)
DP:  Ice Cream Parlor (SU)
Ink:  Memento Black
Accessories:  buttons, rhinestones (SU), ribbon (Michaels), Copics

I have been reading about stampers using Hammermill Color Copy paper (the one with the tree frog on it) to use with their Copics.  I bought some online and have to say that I agree with all the folks that use it ... it works great!

I hand cut my banner and accidentally sliced into the middle of the happiness layer so I added the rhinestone to cover my boo boo.  I'm always pleased when I can hide a mistake and not have to redo something.

Thanks for stopping by and as always ...

Have a great day,
Pam~

Going green ...

I've been busy making some St. Patrick's Day cards.  I don't really decorate for the day but always have enjoyed making St. Patty Day cards.  The first card was made for Tuesday Morning Sketches.  This was my first time to play with this challenge.  I will definitely be checking them out again.  Loved this simple and classy layout.

Stamps:  Lucky Me (SU), Flourish (Inkadinkado)
Paper:  White, Black (SU)
DP:  unknown...bought at Sam's
Ink:  Memento Black
Accessories:  ribbon (Michaels), heart punch, rhinestone, dimensionals (SU), Bic markers, oval dies (Spellbinders)

The second card I'm posting was for a class that I taught at Michaels. I actually made this at home first and then brought it in for the customers to see as a sample.  I went to Freshly Made Sketches (#59)  and thought the layout was perfect for this stamp set.
