Sleeping Under Flowers

My collection of House Mouse stamps needed a little love so I decided to ink one up today.  I chose this one so I could color and use some pastal cardstock.  I used the layout from Splitcoast Stampers sketch challenge number 339.  I also wanted to use the sponging technique for the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week.  Click on over to the Pals and show them your favorite technique.  A big bonus this week ... lots of blog candy being given away.

Here is what the 'ole inky fingers created ...

Stamps:  House Mouse - Sleeping Under Flowers
Paper:  So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, White
DSP:  So Saffron
Ink:  Black, So Saffron, More Mustard, Wild Wasabi, Old Olive
Accessories:  Prismacolor Markers, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Nestabilities square die, sponge daubers, ribbon, rhinestones, sharpie marker, dimensionals
All products are SU unless otherwise noted.
  • I discovered today that Apricot Appeal and So Saffron ribbon are the exact same color.  The ribbon used on this card is actually Apricot Appeal.
  • Lovin' the technique of coloring the rhinestones.  Just wish the SU markers worked so I could get an exact match.
I'm heading out to lunch with Michael.  Want to get as much quality time as possible before he heads off to Auburn and it's not everyday the boy wants to go out with his Mom.

Have a great day,
Pam~

Oh My Goodness....is this sweet or what! I have not seen this house mouse. a house mouse stamp was my very first stamp....and the rest is history. I love the colors and layout and the sweet, pale, soft yellow. I have a hard time finding soft yellow in ribbons and paper.

How adorable! Is the house mouse set from Penny Black? I have a few of her stamps, but I've not seen this one. Who makes it? Love the colors too! Thanks for sharing

Pam, I love this image...just as adorable as it gets. What a great job coloring it, too.

I'm getting fireworks in my neighborhood tonight, also. If we still had our dog, he would run upstairs and get in get in a closet. LOL He hated Halloween and July 4th.
