Happy New Year with a little MOJO

After taking a break from blogging, I'm back and hopefully going to do better this year.  I want to participate in some new challenges and improve my stamping/creative side.

I have actually been stamping the last couple of months.  Not a bunch but did get my Christmas cards made and did a few challenges here and there. I have to say, that after not stamping consistently my creativity has taken a nose dive.  Ok, enough babbling and onto today's card.  This is for the new sketch over at MOJO Monday.  It can be square or circle.  I went with a 4 1/4 by 4 1/4...

Stamps:  Ain't Love Grand (SU)
Paper:  White, Black (SU), Red (Recollections)
DP:  Christmas (Recollections)
Ink:  Memento Black
Accessories:  Copics, pearls, banner die (SU), ribbon (Hobby Lobby), hearts embossing folder (CuttleBug)

Below are some of the cards that I made but never posted.  I believe my inspiration for each card was from a challenge.  Unfortunately, I didn't write down any info so don't remember what each one was for.

Thanks for stopping by and as always...

Have a great day!

Patrick's birthday card ...

Wow, it's been almost a month since I've posted a card.  I'm still trying to figure out how to fit in my stamping along with working.  Kudos to all you wonderful and talented ladies that have that mastered.  I have to admit that standing on my feet all day and setting up the new Michael's store, was a lot of hard work.  It is very rewarding now that the store is open and the shelves are stocked.  The best part ... listening to customers saying how great it is to have Michaels in this part of town.

Bethany made a pit stop here last night on her way to Vanderbilt to see her boyfriend.  So we squeezed in some stamping time this morning before she got back on the road.  Her boyfriend's birthday is Sunday so we made him cards.  Here is what he is getting from me ...

Stamps:  Ain't Love Grand, Button Button
Paper:  White, Pacific Point, Real Red
DSP:  Pacific Point
Ink:  Memento Black, Soft Suede, Wild Wasabi
Accessories:  Spellbinders octagon and circle dies, CB forest branches embossing folder, Bic markers, dimensionals, DMC floss, edge distressor, sponge dauber
All supplies are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

A very clean and simple card.  Patrick's favorite color is green so I had to add a pop of that.

Thanks for stopping by and as always ...

Have a great day,
Pam~

Welcome Baby

One of the Pals, Kim L., recently had a baby boy.  I made this card to send her way.

Stamps:  Ain't Love Grand, Petite Pairs
Paper:  Ballet Blue, Vanilla, So Saffron
DSP:  Positively Paws
Ink:  Black, Ballet Blue, Crumb Cake
Accessories:  Nestabilities Label six and lacey circle die, circle punch, dimensional, ribbon, silver brad (non SU), spritzer
All products are SU unless otherwise noted.

This is another card that was made using the Freshly Made Sketches but I was late posting it.  I love this layout and will definitely use it again.  Maybe one day I will get my cards posted to the challenges on time. :)

Thanks for stopping by and ...

Have a great day,
Pam~

Lucky Daffodil Island ...

This week the Pals at Pals Paper Arts invite you to play along in our color challenge ... Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo.  So let these classy ladies get you started ...
LimeadeIndigoDaffodil

I love these colors and managed to make a card that could be for a guy ....  what do you think?

Stamps:  Ain't Love Grand, Button Button
Paper:  Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, White
Ink:  Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Black
Accessories:  striped embossing folder, reinkers, blender pen, ribbon, circle punches, dimensionals
All products are Stampin' Up!

  • I inked up the embossing folder with Island Indigo ink, added my white cardstock and then ran it through the machine.
  • The Button, Button set has turned out to be a very versatile set.
  • I used my reinkers and blender pen to color the image.
I'm digging circles right now.  There is just something about them that intrigues me when used on a card.  I hope you can find sometime to join in the fun this week.

Have a great day,
Pam~
