Colorful Grateful ...

I had started making a card last week but it never got finished.  I decided going to Birmingham to see my daughter and go shopping was so much more important.  Today I took the stamped image and cardstock that was laying on my table and created this ...

Stamps:  Always Thankful (SU)
Paper:  White, Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze, Perfect Plum (SU)
DP:  Always Artichoke (SU)
Ink:  Always Artichoke (SU), Tea Dye (T. Holtz)
Accessories:  clear emobssing powder, oval and scallop dies (Spellbinders), polka dot and script embossing folder (CuttleBug), pearls (SU), Copic marker

This card will be entered into the new sketch over at MOJO Monday.

The pearls were colored with a Copic marker to match the Always Artichoke paper. Since my image was already made, I went with ovals rather than the circles.  I went with a lot of color on this baby too.  I think I'm in a purple phase right now...hmm...

Thanks for stopping by and as always ...

Have a great day,
Pam~

Fall festivities ... already

Thought I would break out an old set and do a little Fall/Thanksgiving card.  I went to one of my favorite sites, MOJO Monday-The Blog to get the juices flowing.

Here is the finished card ...

Stamps:  Always Thankful, Loads of Love Accessories (SU)
Paper:  Black, White
DP:  Simply Delightful (My Minds Eye)
Ink:  Memento Black, Tea Dye (Ranger)
Accessories:  Prismacolor markers, sponge dauber, button, pop dots (SU), ribbon (H.L.), rectangle, circle and scallop dies (Spellbinders)

This card is actually 5 x 7.  The image looked too big for an A2 sized card with the layers.

Have a great day!

Fall wheat ...

When I made this card, which was last week, I started with a sketch but the image was too big so I ended up just focusing on the designer paper.  This card will be heading to my GA brother.  He has a field up the street from his house that I always call the wheat field.  It really isn't a wheat field but it sure looks like it to me.

Stamps:  Always Thankful
Paper:  Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, White
DSP:  Simply Delightful (MME)
Ink:  Early Espresso, SU markers ... Old Olive, River Rock, More Mustard
Accessories:  blender pen, spritzer, pearls, Cherry Cobbler ribbon, sponge dauber, Nestabilities oval dies
All supplies are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

Thanks for stopping by and as always ...

Have a great day,
Pam~

Use some ribbon ...

This week the Design Team at Pals Paper Arts are asking you to break out some ribbon and adorn your card or project with it.  There are so many different kinds of ribbon and the colors are endless. Here is an inspiration photo to get you started ...

10-27

I always love a little embellishment on my cards.  Here is this week's PPA card ...

  Stamps:  Always Thankful
Paper:  White, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait
DSP:  Peach Parfait
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories:  Pear Pizzazz seam binding ribbon, ticket punch, pearl, Bic Marker, hole punch, sponge dauber, scallop border punch
All products are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.
  • I stamped the main image twice.  Once in Crumb Cake on the card and then again in Pear Pizzazz on scrap paper.  I cut out just the container and attached it to the first image.
  • The pearl was colored first in Peach Parfait with my SU marker.  I then went over it with a similar color Bic Marker to make the ink permanent.
  • The edges were sponged to create a "softer" scene and take away from all the white space.
I hope you will find some time to join in the fun with the rest of the talented Pals.

Thanks for stopping by and ...

Have a great day,

Pam~
