It starts with a sketch ....

This week the Pals Paper Arts has another great sketch from Margaret Moody for you to work with.  Let this get your creative side flowing ...

Ppa111

I knew I wanted to make a card for Bethany and this sketch was a good starting point for what I was thinking.  Bethany starts her clinical training today at the VA hospital and I thought this sentiment was perfect for her.  From that sketch I ended up with this ...

Stamps:  Baroque Motifs, Flight of the Butterfly Itty Bitty Bits
Paper:  Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, White
DSP:  Pretty in Pink
Ink:  Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade
Accessories:  polka dot embossing folder, itty bitty punch, rhinestones, Sharpie marker, sponge, dimensionals, ribbon (non SU)
All products are SU unless otherwise noted.

Of course, I had to use her favorite colors ... pink and lime green.  She will know this was made specifically for her.  :)

Have a great day,
Pam~

PPA Featured Artist ... That's me today

Woohoo...I'm the featured artist again over at the Pals Paper Arts.  I hope you will join me, and the rest of the fabulous design team, with this weeks inspiration photo challenge.

PPA68Nov11

When I showed my husband the inspiration picture and then my card, he said "Where is the food?"  The colors of the inspiration photo are what jumped out at me, so I ran with that and came up with this ...

Stamps:  A Flower for All Seasons, Baroque Motifs
Paper:  Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, watercolor paper
DSP:  Rich Razzleberry
Ink:  Black, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Wild Wasabi, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:   Pearls, white ribbon, dimensionals, paint brush (non SU), Spellbinders square
All products are SU! unless otherwise noted.
  • The stamped image was water colored with re-inkers.
  • I used the sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You from the week of November 1st.
  • The smallest pearls were used to accent the middle of the poinsettia's.
It will be exciting to see what everyone else "sees" when looking at the challenge picture this week.  My hubby would have put a cake on his card.

Thanks for stopping by and as always, I enjoy reading your comments.  If you ever have any questions about my card or products, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you to all the veteran's (and active duty) for giving us the country that we have today ... freedom!

Have a great day,

Pam~

A Happy Hello ... It's Friday

It's Friday ... I know a lot people are happy today.  My son would be first in line to say he is.  I'm excited because Terry comes home tomorrow after being on a business trip for ten days.

I was just playing around in my craft room the other day and this is what I ended up with ...

Stamps:  Baroque Motifs, Punched Posies, All Year Cheer I (retired)
Paper:  Sahara Sand, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point
Ink:  Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories:  brad (non-SU), circle punch, corner rounder, sponges
All products are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

Today's card was quick to make and to assemble.  Sometimes simple cards can go a long way.

I've got another cute card to show this weekend.  I just need to take a picture of it so I can upload it for all to see.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your weekend!

A late PPA challenge

You know that saying...A day late and a dollar short?  Well that is me with this card.  The link to post your card closed Tuesday at noon and I didn't get it finished until 2 p.m. The Pals Paper Arts challenge this past week was a wedding themed card.  Ok, this was a challenge for me.  I've never made a wedding card before.  Since the challenge was wedding themed, I knew I needed to use the new in-color Blushing Bride.  That was my starting point and the rest finally just fell into place.

After all the time I put into it, I decided to go ahead and post it. This is what I came up with...

Stamps:  Baroque Motifs
Paper:  Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Early Expresso
DSP:  Blushing Bride
Ink:  Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz
Accessories:  circle punch (non SU), oval punch, tag punch, pearls, dimensionals, color coach
Technique:  sponging

All supplies Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted

Thursday, July 22nd, will be a big day for me.  I am going to be the featured artist at the Pals.  Be sure to come by and see what the challenge is.

Have a great day,
Pam~
