Christmas in July ...

Do you ever finish a card and think, "Wow, this one turned out really good."  Well, when I taped my last piece down, I knew this was a keeper.  I fell in love with this cute little reindeer and how he came together on this Christmas in July card.
Stamps:  Santa's Helper - Verve
Paper:  Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green
DSP:  Be Of Good Cheer
Ink:  Memento Black, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Soft Suede
Accessories:  blender pen, corner rounder, mini brad, sponge dauber, dimensionals, Nestabilities circle dies, CB snowflake embossing folder
All supplies are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

This card was done for two challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers.  I used the color challenge (CC384) ... Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green and the sketch (SC394).
I bought this stamp set just for the reindeer.  When I first saw him, I knew I had to have it!  I think he colored up very nicely with my blender pen and ink pads.  I added a mini brad to the flower on his hat for so umph.  This was a fun sketch to work with.

Have a great day,

Christmas in July

I hope everyone had a fun and safe fourth of July!  I had a pleasant day and enjoyed a cookout with my family and then watched fireworks in our neighborhood.  Now I'm ready to call it a night but wanted to post this card while I had a chance.  Tomorrow is lining up already to be a busy day.

The Paper Players have a cool challenge this week ... Christmas in July.  I bought a new Christmas set but didn't want to "show it" yet.  So, I used a set that just retired.  Ok, I really like how this card turned out and may just use this as one of my designs this year.

Stamps:  Christmas Classic (retired)
Paper:  Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla
DSP:  Jolly Holiday (retired)
Ink:  Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:  Cherry Cobbler baker's twine, Old Olive ribbon and brads, polka dot embossing folder, Cuttlebug tag die, Stickles
All products are SU unless otherwise noted.

Please excuse the bad pictures lately.  Some setting on my camera has changed and I don't know what it is yet.  Taking this picture at night didn't help matters either.

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Christmas Card #3

Today's card is my third Christmas card that was made for 2010.  I did actually make some others, but did not photograph them before sending it off ... oops.  I had a blast making my cards this year, but am ready to move onto other themes and stamp sets.

The final one ...

Stamps:  Jolly Old St. Nick
Paper:  Bashful  Blue, Cherry Cobbler, Wild Wasabi, White
DSP:  Bashful Blue
Ink:  Black, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories:  Nestabilities circle/scalloped dies, brads, Prismacolor markers, daubers
All products are SU unless otherwise noted.

I making this post short and sweet today... I'm pretty tired this evening.  I was at Belk Department store at 5:50 a.m. this morning.  They were giving away gift cards to the first 250 customers.  My lucky husband and daughter's card was worth $100 ... mine $5. Ok, I was the loser this morning, though I did have fun shopping and then meeting some good friends for breakfast.

Until next time ...

Christmas card No. 2

Happy Friday!  I had a great day shopping with Bethany yesterday.  We got a lot accomplished and had a lot of laughs.  It has definitely put me in the Christmas spirit now that we are all together.  Now I just need to wrap our purchases ... that is what tomorrow is for.

The card I'm posting today is one of my Christmas cards that I sent out to my family and friends.  I made three different cards and actually posted one earlier here.  That one was made for a color challenge.  I liked it so much that I made more.  For today's card, I used the same set, just a different stamp from it.

Stamps:  Jolly Old St. Nick
Paper:  Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla
DSP:  Jolly Holiday
Ink:  Old Olive, Black
Accessories:  oval punch, corner punch, Old Olive ribbon, Prismacolor markers and pencils, snowflake from cricut cartridge, brad, sponge, Stickles
All products are SU unless otherwise noted.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Christmas Tags ...

It's freezing outside so that has definitely put me in the Christmas spirit today.  To make the day even better, there are some great challenges out there to play with.  The tags below are for The Paper Players Christmas theme challenge this week.  I wanted to make some quick tags so I can mass produce them without taking too much time.  Hmmm...is that being lazy or helping manage my time?  I'm opting for the second thought. :)

Stamps:  Holiday Helpers
Paper:  White
Ink:  Staz-On Black, Real Red
Accessories:  Prismacolor markers, Nestabilities scalloped circle die, fuzzy yarn (non-SU), sponge, crop-a-dile
  • This is retired set from SU (1999) that I just love to this day.
Now I'm off to go stamp some more.  Woohoo, I love days that I can spend in my craft room and play.  Maybe I should use the word design or create so that my hubby doesn't think I sit around and play all day.

Have a great day,
Pam~
