War Eagle ...

Today's card is headed to Auburn but not to Michael.  This one is going to the apartment office with the rent in it.  I figure if I have to write that check, I am going to do something fun with it.  Don't know if they will appreciate it but I did enjoy making it.

My card was inspired by Pals Paper Arts sketch this week.

PPA143
I used the layout but just did a little flipping and rotating.  Here is my finished card ...
Stamps:  In Wilderness, Alphabet (unknown)
Paper:  White, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip
Ink:  Memento Black, Tangerine Tango, Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue
Accessories:  Sizzix embossing folder, Copics, deckle scissors (non SU), edge distresser, sponge dauber, pop dots
All supplies are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

After running the white cardstock through the embossing folder, I swiped my ink pad over the raised images.

Thanks for stopping by and as always ...

Have a great day,
Pam~

Eagle Scout Card

Here is another card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches.  I loved this sketch!

This card went to my neighbor who achieved the top honor of Eagle Scout.  I even went to You Tube to learn how to tie a knot.  This is a figure eight knot. I picked out a very simple one so I could follow the directions...hehehe.

Stamps:  In Wilderness, Itty Bitty Banners
Paper:  White, Brown (non SU)
DSP:  Paper Studio
Ink:  Memento Black Always Artichoke
Accessories:  Copics, twine, Bitty Banner Framelits, pop dots, Nestabilities Label One, eyelets (non SU)
All supples are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

Thanks for stopping by and as always ...

Have a great day,
Pam~

The Paper Players is getting sketchy

I'm back from my Vegas get away and had a great time.  It was a neat place to visit and I'm glad I went.  I came home with $12 in my pocket from playing the penny slots.  The casino actually gave me $10 so my winnings were only $2 ... it went up and down.  When it was up, I quit and cashed out my ticket ... lol.    Terry had business out there and took me along for the ride since we are without children at home now.

Today's card is for The Paper Players sketch this week.  Once again, I needed a masculine card to send to Michael.  One of Auburn's mascots is the eagle so I thought this stamp was perfect for him.   Of course, I had to use the school colors too ...  minus the brown.  Hope he doesn't mind the polka dots.

This was the starting point ...

and this was the end result from my inky fingers ...

Stamps:  In Wilderness
Paper:  Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Vanilla
DSP:  Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie
Ink:  Staz-on Timber Brown, Bashful Blue
Accessories:  Prismacolor Markers, Signo white gel pen, Nestabilities octagon dies, label punch, word window punch, Night of Navy brads, Pumpkin Pie ribbon
All products are SU! unless otherwise noted.

War Eagle was computer generated and punched out.

I hope my fellow stampers along the east coast are safe and did  not encounter too much damage from Irene.

Have a great day,
Pam~

Time for a color challenge ...

Time for another Pals Paper Arts color challenge.  Color and sketch challenges are always my favorite.  I like having something to start with rather than just thinking, "Ok, what do I want to use, how do I want to use it, etc."  I hope this challenge gets your creativity popping and you will play along with us!

The colors this week are ...
These classy ladies are looking so feminine and elegant that I just had to see if I could turn my card into something completely different.  I think I succeeded ...

Stamps:  In Wilderness
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla
DSP:  Elegant Soiree
Ink:  Soft Suede
Accessories:   Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon, brads from Hodgepodge Hardware, dimensionals
All products are Stampin' Up.

I hope you will find some time this week to participate.  I always enjoy looking at everyone's artistic abilities.

Have a great day,
Pam~
