A colorful sketch ...

Today I went shopping and out to lunch with my best friend.  I found a great bargain and couldn't wait to get home and use it.  While at a craft store, I found a Sizzix package with 2 embossing folders and a die for $8.52 ... walk out the door price!  Woo hoo ... I love a a good deal!  I was already working on a card for Freshly Made Sketches and The Paper Players and knew my new embossing folder would work perfectly.

This is the sketch ...

This is the color challenge ...

Put the two together and I got this ...

Stamps:  Cold & Cuddly, Penguin Pals
Paper:  Always Artichoke, Riding Hood Red, White
DSP:  River Rock
Ink:  River Rock, Riding Hood Red, Always Artichoke, Bashful Blue
Accessories:  corner rounder, sponge dauber, pop dots, Prisma Color pencil, Nestabilities oval and square dies, Sizzix snowflake embossing folder
All products are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.
  • I attached the Always Artichoke and Riding Hood Red cardstock to the River Rock DSP.  I then put it in the snowflake embossing folder and embossed it as one piece.
  • The polar bear looked lonely sitting on his iceberg, so I added some snowflakes.
  • If you click on the card, you can see the embossed snowflakes a little better.  It looks much sharper in real life.
Thanks for stopping by and ...

Have a great day,

Pam~

PS: I LOVE this little guy... in fact. I bought the set last year AFTER the holiday, or when ever it was going to retire... and I NEVER used it! You just inspired me to dig him out! I totally forgot I had it.

Sounds like a good find at the craft store..good for you.

Hey, I know how your son feels about his football ticket this weekend. We are about to leave for our game and I must say it is probably not going to be the most exciting one of the season. But, then, who knows? Glad you get to spend a weekend with your son.
