Shake your Booty ... for MOJO Monday

A great sketch over at MOJO Monday this week by Julee.  Thought I would pull out a Halloween stamp and have some fun with it.  This was my inspiration ...

This is my finished creation ...

Stamps:  Bootiful Occasions (SU)
Paper:  Pumpkin Pie, White, Black (SU)
DP:  Pumpkin Pie, Concord Crush (SU)
Ink:  Pumpkin Pie (SU), Memento Black
Accessories:  circle and oval dies (Spellbinders), sponge dauber, pop dots, pearls, banner die, polka dot embossing folder (SU), sharpie

I colored my pearls with a black sharpie to dress-up the boot and sentiment. Then added a little orange to tone down the white panels and this baby was finished.  The hardest part of this card was photographing and editing it. Can't seem to get it very sharp looking...hmm.

Thanks for stopping by and as always...

Have a great day,
Pam~

Shake your Booty ...

Today's card has been stamped and sitting in my craft room for a couple of weeks.  Life happens ...

My inspiration came from MOJO sketch 257 even though it never got posted there ...

Here is my finished card ...

Stamps:  Bootiful Occasions, Button Button, Itty Bitty Backgrounds
Paper:  White, Black, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise
DSP:  Polka Dot
Ink:  Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise
Accessories:  burlap, ribbon (non SU); Copic, Nestabilities oval and scallop dies, CB dots and circles embossing folder, sponge dauber, dimensionals
All products are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.
  • Used the Button Button stamp set since it is less bulkier to mail than the real thing.
  • A piece of scrap burlap laying on my table made the perfect backdrop for this boot.
I have been stamping a little bit but just have not taken the time to post.  Hopefully over the next few days I will get those uploaded.  I completely understand why people take a blogging break. :)

As always, thanks for stopping by and ...

Have a great day,
Pam~

A spooky sketch

I tried something new on this card that I've never done before.  I used a digital stamp that I downloaded from Bird's Cards blog.  I do not have a lot of Halloween stamps so went browsing through blogs that offered digi stamps.  This card is for my nephew so I decided to use this spooky looking pumpkin.  I'm more of a cute pumpkin face lover.

This layout is from the Pals Paper Arts designed by Pal Margaret Moody.  So I started with this sketch ...

Ppa pic
and ended with this card ...

Stamps:  Wicked Cool, digi by Bird's Cards
Paper:  Black, Cajun Craze, White
DSP:  paper pack from Hobby Lobby
Ink:  Black
Accessories:  Prismacolor markers, Nestabilities oval dies, Halloween ribbon from H.L., glitter pen, square lattice embossing folder, mini brads.

  • After printing the pumpkin on white cardstock, I colored it with my Prismacolor Markers and cut it out.
  • I added glitter to the eyes trying to make it more friendly looking ... didn't work.  Think he actually looks more evil.
Thanks for stopping by and ...

Have a great day,
Pam~
