Something simple ...

I was at the beach last weekend for a soccer tournament with my son.  I'm delighted to say they came home with the championship trophy.  We had a wonderful time and the weather was awesome.  Got to start on my tan.  Sad thing is, it will probably disappear before I can work on it again.  Being a proud mom, I've included a photo of the Grissom Varsity soccer team holding their trophy.  Michael is the first player on the back left row ... the tallest one.

Ok, enough of the mom stuff.  Now onto my card that took me over a week to make and it is quite simple.  I would stamp, leave and come back and do a little more.  From now until the end of the soccer season, my stamping takes a back seat ... and I miss it!  This is for Bethany so I had to add a touch of pink.  This child loves lime green and pink.

Stamps:  Apple Blossoms (hostess set)
Paper:  White, Taken w/Teal, Lime Green (non SU)
Ink:  Taken w/Teal, Luscious Lime SU marker
Accessories:  sponge dauber, ribbon (non SU)
All products are SU unless otherwise noted.
  • The Stampin' Up marker was one that I got when I first ordered all my markers back in 1999.
  • I stamped the blossom with Taken w/Teal and then colored it with the Luscious Lime marker.
  • The edges were sponged with Taken w/Teal to tone down the white surface.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to come by tomorrow to see what I've created for the Pals Paper Arts challenge.  I know the rest of the Design Team will have amazing cards to share.

Have a great day,
Pam~

Congrats! So glad your son's team came back with the championship trophy. That is so much fun! I am a bit envious of you getting to Gulf Shores so early in the year. My sis and hubby are building a summer home there...so you know I'll be there as much as possible. Yippee! They have a condo there at one of the Romar's and I sneak in quite a bit. Ha

Your card is just so pretty. Love that teal and lime green together. And, the pink bow is a lovely addition. Have a great day!

I love what you did with the Apple Blossom stamp! I will give this a try and link back to you when I do! It's been so crazy here lately that I haven't had time to stamp for a while so I hope to carve out time soon!

Your card is beautiful... I love lime green and pink too!!! I actually own lime green curtains and they are my favorite. I'm a modern gal, living in an 1850's farm house. Congrats to your son!!! Winning the championship, how awesome. You must be one proud, happy Mom!!! Hugs,

Hi, Pam! Love your happy card!
I am wondering how you did all those flowers???
Did you ink the stampin blue and wipe the part off with a blender pen that you intended to color differently?
Or did you just color over them after it was stamped in blue??
Thanks for any help.
