All Buttoned Up ...

I'm thrilled to be back designing with the Pals at the Pals Paper Arts. This week we are challenging everyone to break out their buttons and create with us.  I just started using buttons on my cards this year.  I always admired the cards that had buttons on them, but I could never seem to make it work for me.  After a few trial and errors, I have come to love using buttons on my cards.

Here is a photo for some inspiration ...

PPA91

I had a lot fun playing with this one.  My inky fingers grabbed some buttons and created this ...

Stamps:  Elegant Thank You
Paper:  Tempting Turquoise, Black, White
DSP:  Tempting Turquoise
Ink:  Tempting Turquoise, Versamark
Accessories:  circle cutter, Finial Press embossing folder, scallop border punch, Real Red ribbon, Real Red and Black buttons, clear embossing powder, dimensionals, glue dots, white thread (non SU), stamp-a-ma-jig, embossing buddy, heat emobssing tool (non SU)
All products are SU unless otherwise noted.
  • I used this week's MOJO sketch to get started ...
  • My card measures 4 1/2 by 4 1/2 so that it will still fit in an A2 envelope.
  • I stamped my thank you first in Tempting Turquoise ink.  Next I inked up the stamp in Versamark and stamped that right on top of the first image using my stamp-a-ma-jig.
  • Clear embossing powder was sprinkled over the sentiment and heat embossed.

I hope you will find some time this week to join in the fun of playing with buttons.  I always enjoy looking at what you have made.

Have a great day,
Pam~

Pam, this is absolutely amazing. I love the colors you've used and that wonderul embossing is gorgeous.

Hope you are all o.k. today. The devastation is just horrible. Thankfully, we just had some downed trees. My son, DIL, and 2 babies are coming to stay with us for a while. You know, no power or phone...not even cells working.

Absolutely fabulous! Love the color combo with those little pops of red! Wow! Such an eye-catching card. I especially like the threaded centers of the buttons. (I'm not a fan of "naked" buttons, lol!) So pretty! :)
