Happy 4th of July ...

Today's card is for The Paper Players Summertime Theme Challenge.  Here is the inspiration photo ...

With the 4th of July right around the corner and that is the ultimate summertime fun for me, I knew I wanted something along those lines.  With my new stamps in hand, I started creating and ended up with this ...

Stamps:  Holiday Basket, Basket Additions 2 (GKD)
Paper:  White, Ballet Blue Real Red
Ink:  Memento Black, Real Red
Accessories:  Cuttlebug stars embossing folder, Nestabilities lacy square and square dies, Prismacolor pencils, OMS, Real Red ribbon, Bitty Banner Framelits, button brad (non SU), pop dots, corner rounder
All products are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

  • The basket is not straight but after all the coloring I did, it was going to have to work.
  • The handles on the basket are movable.
  • Colored pencils were used since I wanted a different coloring method.
  • Card size is 6 1/4 x 4 1/2 as the basket is a big image. especially after matting it.
Other quick news ...

My pink tree card (here), was actually a winner in the Pretty In Pink challenge over at StampTV.  I'm still doing the happy dance!

Thanks for stopping by and as always...

Have a great day,
Pam~

I dearly love this card. After Christmas, the 4th of July is my favorite holiday. Love that picnic basket...and the handles move? Great creation, Pam.

Yes, we had that same lightning show this past Sunday and early Monday, I believe. Geez!
