You Make Me Laugh ...

My inspiration for today's card came from Freshly Made Sketches ...
I'm on a masculine roll right now.  I've been sending cards to my son and nephew and don't have a whole lot in the college box.  So this will be another one for the guys in the box.

Stamps:  Card Games, Game Night
Paper:  White, Basic Gray, Riding Hood Red, More Mustard
DSP:  Basic Gray
Ink:  Riding Hood Red
Accessories:  Forest branches and dominoes embossing folder (CB), corner rounder, dimensionals
All supplies are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted

After embossing the dominoes on the white cardstock, I ran my ink pad directly over the raised images.  A very simple card here.

Thanks for stopping by and as always ...

Have a great day,
Pam~

PPA color challenge

This is my first card to upload at Pals Paper Arts since leaving the design team.  I will miss being a part of this awesome group but it was the right time for me step down.  I would like to thank the talented Pals on the PPA design team for the wonderful experience I had.  These are the best of the best stampers and it was such an honor to have my cards along side theirs!

I found a sketch challenge over at Create with Connie and Mary that caught my eye.  So with these colors from PPA ...

and this sketch from CCMC ...

Queen of Everything ...

I'm definitely not talking about myself with that title ... I'm talking about my daughter.  I wanted to send her another fun card since she is getting ready for her finals.  She took anatomy this semester and she calls it the class that is like a clingy boyfriend ... you just can't shake it off.  It has really consumed her life, especially the social aspect of it if you ask her.  The good news, I think she will get an A out of the class.  I hope the card will at least put a smile on her face.

I had a great Thanksgiving holiday and enjoyed every minute of it.  I did not get any stamping done, other than working on my Christmas cards while watching the Auburn/Alabama game ... War Eagle!  I was busy out shopping and spending time with my family.  I missed getting inky fingers ... usually get withdrawals after a couple of days without a stamp in my hand.

This is a quick and simple card...

Stamps:  Card Games, Game Night
Paper:  White, Concord Crush, Pink Passion, Tempting Turquoise
DSP:  Tempting Turquoise
Ink:  Pink Passion, Concord Crush
Accessories:  Cuttlebug hearts embossing folder, ribbon (non SU), Stickles, edge distresser (non SU), heart punch, corner rounder
All products are SU unless otherwise noted.

I hope you had a safe and fun Thanksgiving weekend.  Are there any other crazy shoppers out there who get up and out really early?  My hubby and daughter were hitting the pavement Friday morning by 3:30 a.m.  I was not quite that crazy ... I did online shopping at 4 a.m. and left the house at 6:30 a.m.

Have a great day,
Pam~

Super Bowl Sunday...Game Night

I'm getting ready to watch  football and eat some wings with my family.  Before the excitement begins, I wanted to share my brother's birthday card.  It has actually been up on Splitcoast but I couldn't put it on my blog until he received it.  Got a text this morning that he got his birthday card.yesterday...yeah!  The last card I sent him took eight days to get there.  The darn horse and buggy was slow leaving Alabama and must have had a hard time getting to New Jersey.

I made this using the MOJO124 layout.  Click on the MOJO box on the left side of my blog to go see the great layouts!

The stamps sets I used were Card Games and Game Night.  Think these sets are pretty cool and make a great masculine card.  Some SU! sets really catch your eye and this one did for me.  I think you can do so much with either one of these alone or together.

I have more cards to show but will do that tomorrow.  The game is about to start and I need to go pick-up our wings.  I'm pulling for the Saints tonight.

Enjoy your evening...

Pam~
