A mixed-up card

It all started with a piece of Wild Wasabi that was die cut sometime ago and was just sitting on my craft table.  No time like the present to use it I thought, so off I went with it.  Hmmm ...

I debated about posting this card today.  I asked my hubby what he thought of it and he just shrugged his shoulders ... not a good sign.  He never said he didn't like it but he didn't say he liked it either.  In all honesty, this is not one of my favorite cards either.  I'm thinking it is way too busy.  If each element were on a card by itself maybe it would look better.  I wanted to try and use the Just Add Cake designer paper as a fall background.  We won't go there again.  The good thing about stamping, you learn a lot of do's and don'ts.  This card is the perfect example.  With all this being said, I'm going to go ahead and post this fall beauty ... hehehe

Stamps:  Give Thanks (retired)
Paper:  So Saffron, Peach Parfait, Wild Wasabi, White
DSP:  Just Add Cake
Ink:  Memento Black, Crumb Cake
Accessories:  Prismacolor markers, Nestabilities Delilah, lacey circles, and circle dies, ribbon, brad, Cuttlebug circle and dots embossing folder, color spritzer, dimensionals
All products are Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted.

Thanks for stopping by and as always ....

Have a great day,
Pam~

I am glad you posted your card....I love these images. The thing that I find a bit off is the shape of the mat behind the pumpkin...I think if it you used the same beautiful scalloped ones that you used with the flower, it would be perfect! You have a wonderful circular theme going here...the DP, the embossing, the rhinestone and the one Nestie....but when your eye is drawn to the pumpkin, it's not as smooth a transition to see the floral shape. Does that make sense?? I think the colors are beautiful and I really think the Just Add Cake is very pretty here! I know I have posted cards that I (ahem) was not too fond of, too!!! We all have them! TFS!

Love the images and the cool paper. I've uploaded some that I wish I hadn't. Don't be hard on yourself because it is very pretty and has some wonderful autumnal colors.

Hey, I've got those mums ready for your porch. :-)
