You ...

Today's card was inspired by a WPlus9 video I watched on YouTube.

I thought the effect of layering the same distress ink color had a unique look.  The stamp set, You, is from Simon Says and the ink color is Peacock Feathers.  I added a few sequins by Verve to finish off the card and to cover up an inky finger print.

Thanks for stopping by and as always ... have a great day!

Back to blogging ...

After over a year of not blogging, I am going to try it again. I enrolled in a class, Online Card Classes, and wanted to upload my card to their site.  I debated back and forth if I wanted to do this venture again. Well, here it goes ...

Stamps:  You (Simon Says Stamps)
Paper:  black (SU), teal, watercolor (Canson), vellum
Ink:  Peacock Feathers, Crushed Olive, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed (Distress Inks), Black (Versafine), Versamark
Accessories:  clear embossing powder, sequins, leaf die (Spellbinders)

I watercolored the background and die cut the leaves three times. After attaching the watercolored piece to the teal paper, I clear embossed the leaves and then put them back into their correct cutout with foam tape. The sentiments are also clear embossed.

This card was inspired by Kristina Werner's card over at Online Card Classes.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

My anchor ...

It has been a snowy day, so after shoveling this morning, I stayed inside and made some cards for a few challenges.  This card is for two challenges.  I'm entering it into the Pals Paper Arts for the layout and Simon Says Stamps for Anything Goes featuring Lawn Fawn products.

Stamps:  Float My Boat (Lawn Fawn); Itty Bitty Backgrounds (SU)
Paper:  Crumb Cake, White (SU)
DP:  Bold Basics (Recollections)
Ink:  Mermaid, Cranberry (Lawn Fawn); Crumb Cake (SU); Versamark
Accessories:  clear embossing powder; eyelet; twine; edge distresser; oval die (Spellbinders)

To emboss my sentiment, I inked the saying in Versamark first and then into the mermaid ink.  I was pleased with the way this card turned out.  Always need some masculine cards on hand.

Here are some pics of the snow at my house.  It is so pretty!

Thanks for stopping by and as always ...

Have a great day!
