Let's try vintage ...

I'm having stamping withdrawals right now.  I have been so busy that I have not had much time to stamp.  Right now I'm in up NJ visiting my brother for his 50th birthday.  I came up yesterday to surprise him... love surprises!  Hopefully next week I will have some time to get inky again. Alright, enough of my babbling and on to a great challenge this week at the Pals Paper Arts.

They always say it is good to step out of your comfort zone to become better at something.  Well, I stepped out to do a vintage card for the PPA challenge ... and I like it!  Below is the inspiration photo.

PPA80

My inky fingers went to play and created this ...

Stamps:  Bliss (sale-a-bration)
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla
DSP:  Elegant Soiree
Ink:  Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Soft Suede
Accessories:  sponge dauber, rhinestones, dimensionals, edge distresser, glue dots, finial press embossing folder
All products are Stampin' Up!
  • The edges were sponged with Soft Suede to give it a vintage look.  Ann, at The Stampin' Schach, is the Queen of vintage.  Be sure to take a peek at her awesome blog.
  • The butterflies were rock n' rolled.  Think I'm on a butterfly kick?  Three on my last card and what do you know, three on this card too.
  • One of my favorite embellishments that Stampin' Up makes are the rhinestones and pearls.  I absolutely love them!
I hope you will find some time to play along with us this week.  I would love to see how you interpret vintage.  I know I will make more cards with a vintage look ... it's fun and has an awesome look!  I am pleased with the results of this card.  Thanks for stopping by and I always enjoy reading what you have to say ... good, bad or indifferent.

Have a great day,
Pam~
